BOARD RECAP
The Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, January 23, 2006 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

11. Superintendent’s Reports
a. Revised job descriptions – will sit on the table for 30 days
b. Update on Construction Program
The concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls are 90% complete
in the 800 wing. The ductwork is being
installed in the 600 and 700 wings. Electrical conduit and cable trays are
being installed in all three wings. The
roofing system has been installed on all three wings. The gas line piping has been installed from
the gas meter location to each addition across the existing building roof.
The contractor has poured concrete
footing for the gymnasium, Art & Band areas, including interior footings
for the cafeteria. The concrete walk
between the two athletic fields has been poured. The main sanitary sewer line has been
installed down the length of the classroom wing. The earthen slopes have been seeded and
erosion stabilization matting has been installed. The existing gas line has been lowered. The curb and gutter is being poured for the
main entrance to the staff parking lot.
The architect & engineer are working on the contract documents for the gymnasium air conditioning.
