The Fayette County Board of Education met in called session on Monday, May 1, 2006 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

6.                  Approved East Fayette Elementary School HVAC Bid

7.                  Approved McIntosh High School HVAC Bid

8.                  Approved Rising Starr Middle School – 10 year plan Flooring Project Bid

9.                  Approved Rising Starr Middle School – 10 year plan Painting Project Bid

10.              Approved Starr’s Mill High School – 10 year plan Flooring Project Bid

11.              Approved Starr’s Mill High School – 10 year plan Painting Project Bid

a.       Policy Revision – Eligibility to Attend Fayette County Schools - presented by Sam Sweat – on table for review

13.              Adjourned to executive session for discussion of real estate and personnel

14.              Returned from executive session

15.              Action relating to executive session – Dr. DeCotis recommended that the Board of Education authorize the purchase of the Kiwanis Field on Goza Road for the sum of $1,650,000 which consists of 60.59 acres and a building of 20,000 sq.ft. The recommendation was approved
