BOARD RECAP

The Fayette Board of Education met in called session on Monday, July 31, 2006 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

1. Approved to act in called session

2. Approved agenda

3. Approved 2006 – 2007 millage rates – The Maintenance and Operations (M&O) tax will decrease by .150 mills while the Bond tax will decrease by .050 mills. This will result in a decrease to taxpayers of .200 mills in taxation on their property. This decrease will reduce property taxes for the owner of a $200,000 home by approximately $156.00 per year.

5. Approval of bus stops – no recommendation was made for a vote

6. Adjourned
