The Fayette County Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, August 21, 2006 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

Lee Davis reported the finance department is close to closing out FY 2006 and

d. Update on Construction Program
The gymnasium roof trusses have been
installed. The metal decking is being installed over the gmnasium trusses. The
light-weight concrete roofing deck has been poured over 95% of the building.
Concrete masonry wall construction is on going in the classroom areas. The
exterior brick installation is ongoing in the classroom portion of the building
and approximately 85% complete.
The roofing has been installed over
approximetly 45% of the building and the skylite aluminum framing and glazing
is approximately 70% complete.

The serving line has been in use since August 7, 2006. Completion of the kitchen is scheduled for Monday August 21, 2006.

Brooks Elementary
School
Final architectural/ engineering documents have been submitted to the Department of Education.
The kitchen modification, gym HVAC and replacement of existing rooftop HVAC units are approved to bid. The bid date is September 12, 2006.
