The Fayette County Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, March 19, 2007 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

The asphalt paving is completed. The bus
canopy metal panel installation is 80% completed. The gymnasium maple fooring is approximately
40% completed. The exterior and interior
doors have been installed. The ceramic
tile floors in the restrooms is approximately 90% completed. The classroom
general casework is on site and being installed. The locker installation is
approximately 98% completed. The ceiling grid has been installed in the
classrooms, media and administrative areas. The light fixtures have been
installed in approximately 90% of the building.
The walls and door frames have been painted. Approximately 90% of the doors have been intalled. The quarry tile has been installed in the kitchen and serving line areas. The kitchen vent hood is on site. The walk-in freezer/cooler is scheduled to arrive March 20, 2007.
Brooks Elementary School
The concrete slab has been poured. Approximately 70% of the concrete masonry walls have been constructed. The roofing metal deck and bar joists are on site. The bar joist roof structure installation has begun. The brick has been delivered to the site.
The project
has been bid.
New Elementary School # 1
The architect and engineers construction documents are complete. The scheduled bid date is April 10, 2007.
