The Fayette County Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, April 16, 2007 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

The general parking spaces have been
striped/painted. The gymnasium bleachers
are being installed. The science casework
is being installed. The general casework
installation is 95% completed. The ceiling
tile is being installed in the classrooms and the corridors. The plumbing fixture
installation is 98% completed. The VCT
floor tile installation is 95% completed.
The carpet installation is 99% completed. The floor base installation is 95%
completed. The heat pump loop lines have
been flushed and chemical treatment has been performed.
The kitchen ventilation/exhaust hood has been
installed and the associated ductwork installation is 95% completed. The walk-in cooler/freezer and the quarry
tile in the cooler freezer has been installed. Some of the kitchen equipment
has arrived on site. The suspended
ceiling grid installation is 85% completed.
Two of the three overhead coiling grilles between the kitchen and
cafeteria have been installed.
Brooks Elementary School
The concrete masonry unit and the brick walls are completed. The roofing has been installed except the perimeter flashing. Block filler has been applied to the concrete masonry walls. The plumber is installing the water lines for the individual toilet rooms in the kindergarten classrooms. The electrician is installing overhead conduit. The gymnasium re-roofing work is approximately 90% completed.
The insurance
documents and the contracts have been submitted and are being reviewed.
New Elementary School # 1
Bids were received April 10, 2007 for this project.
