BOARD RECAP

 

The Fayette County Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, May 21, 2007 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

Dan Lane, teacher at Fayetteville Intermediate to assistant principal of McIntosh High School, replaces Thomas Burton

Angie Southers, teacher at Oak Grove Elementary to assistant principal of  Tyrone Elementary School, replaces Heidi Pfannensteil

Melvin Blocker, assistant principal Sandy Creek High School, replaces Angela Hubbert

                Bennett’s Mill Middle School

The generator is being installed. The fire alarm annunciator panel is being installed.  The punch list items are being addressed by the contractor. The substantial completion and the certificate of occupancy milestones are very near.

Fayette Middle School

All the kitchen equipment is on site and is being connected.  The ceiling tile has been installed. The substantial completion and certificate of occupancy for the kitchen are just a few weeks away from being achieved.

All the replacement roof-top HVAC units and the four new gymnasium HVAC units are on site.

Brooks Elementary School

The ceiling grid, border ceiling tile and the light fixtures have been installed in all the classrooms.  The walls have been painted. The door frames have been painted. The windows have been installed.

Oak Grove Elementary School

The brick is on order. The replacement HVAC rooftop units

are on order for installation this summer.

New Elementary School # 1

The building pad and the northern detention pond have been graded. The parking lot is being graded.
