The contractor is working on
punch-list items. The telephone service is being installed by AT&T in
departmental sequences. There should be a dial-tone in the building Monday
June, 18. Furniture is being moved into
the building.
The
kitchen equipment is installed and 99% connected. The walk-in cooler is
operational. The existing roof-top HVAC units have been removed and the new
units set in place, except the Administrative area unit. The mechanical &
electrical sub-contractors are working on connecting the units. The gymnasium
roof-top units have been set in place and the spiral duct is being installed to
provide air-conditioning in the gymnasium. The former bandroom accessory spaces
have been demolished to prepare the space for cafeteria expansion.
Brooks Elementary School
The casework has been installed in the new classrooms. The roof-top HVAC units have been set on the roof of the addition and they have been connected electrically. Two of the large HVAC units have been set on the existing building. The remainder of the units will be set on the existing building next week. The kitchen duct-work and roof-curb is being installed to provide air conditioning in the kitchen. The former computer lab has been demolished and the walls have been constructed for a conference room and audio/visual storage space.
The
existing kitchen equipment has been removed. The contractor has demolished the
existing kitchen ceiling and concrete floor slab. The temporary wall has been
constructed between the cafeteria and the kitchen. The relocation of the storm
sewer line has begun.
New Elementary School # 1
Concrete footings have been poured for a portion of the classroom wing. Storm sewer lines have been installed in the parking lot and bus drive. The fire protection water lines are being installed on the site. The domestic, fire and irrigation water meters and backflow prevention valves & vaults are on site.
