BOARD RECAP

 

The Fayette County Board of Education met in a called session on Monday, January 7, 2008 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education.  The following actions were taken:

 

1                     Approved to Act In Called Session

2.                   Approved agenda

3.                   Executive Session (Student Tribunal Appeal)

4.                   Approved return from Executive Session

5.                   Action Relating to Executive Session:

a.             The decision of the tribunal was upheld.  The student can attend the prom, baccalaureate, and graduation exercises at Fayette County High School.  He may choose to attend the Voluntary Alternative School or the Evening School.  Support will be offered for completion for two advanced placement courses.

6.                   Organizational

a.             Approved election of Terri Smith, Chairman, and Lee Wright, Vice Chairman.

b.             Approved Setting of Time and Place for Board Meetings for 2008
