The Fayette Board of Education met in regular session on February 11, 2008 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

Change Order Proposal for
10) Superintendent’s Reports:
a) Update on Construction Program
The concrete slab for the multi-purpose room has been poured. This completes the concrete building slab pours. The concrete masonry (concrete block) is 95% complete in all sectors. The mechanical ductwork is being installed in Sector “C1.” The flat roof area light-weight concrete slab has been poured. Metal stud framing is on-going on the mezzanine vestibules and the small restroom ceilings in the kindergarten and first grade classrooms. The standing-seam metal roof installation is 80% complete in Sector “C1” and 20% in the administration portion of Sector “A.”
The emergency generator has been installed.
The project is scheduled to bid February 14, 2008. Six potential bidders have picked up contract documents and all six have performed for the school system.
b) Recommended Science Instructional Materials and Program for adoption
material will be housed at each school over the next month for the public to review and give input.
c) Information regarding a lease agreement will be placed on the agenda for February 13, 2008.
