The Board of Education met in regular session on March 17, 2008 in the boardroom of the Fayette County Board of Education. The following actions were taken:

12) Superintendent’s Reports
a) Update on Construction Program
i) Inman Elementary School- The standing-seam metal roof is 98% complete in sectors “A,” “C” & “D” (classroom wings, administration and media & multipurpose space). The modified bitumen roof (flat areas) is 95% complete. The cafeteria and kitchen metal work is approximately 50% complete. The mechanical ductwork is being insulated. The fire protection piping is being installed. Electrical wiring is being pulled in the conduit. The permanent light fixtures are installed on the mechanical mezzanine and are operational. The HVAC piping is being installed in the boiler room. The concrete block walls are being rubbed in preparation for the block filler (paint primer). The cooling tower footings and concrete columns have been poured. The exterior brick work continues and is approximately 85% complete. The parking lot and bus-drive lighting is installed and operational.
ii) Rivers Elementary School- The pre-construction meeting was held with the contractor, major sub-contractors, architect and engineers Monday, March 17, 2008
