Evening High School
The Evening
High School serves a vital segment of the
overall educational program of the Fayette
County Board of Education.

| Welcome
to FCEHS! |
The Fayette County Evening High School exists to provide a high school
education for students needing an option to the traditional day school
experience. Students at the Evening High School find a learning
environment very different from the day school experience. Instruction
and curriculum are aimed at the development of self-respect, pride in work
and ethical values. Students take only three classes each nine weeks
which allows more in-depth presentation of the academic material and
enhances learning. |

Our
Mission |
Our mission is to provide a competent and innovative instructional program
to a non-traditional student population. Within this framework, the
Evening High School believes that students, given the opportunity, can and
will work to improve themselves at their individual paces. A regular
high school curriculum is offered leading toward graduation and the awarding
of diplomas.
The Evening High School serves a vital segment of the overall educational
program of the Fayette County Board of Education.
Speak to your counselor or call the counselor in the Evening High School
to determine if the Evening High School can serve your needs and academic
goals. |

| What's
the Difference? |
The Fayette County Evening High School is accredited by the Southern
Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) and offers both college prep and
technical/career diplomas for students age 16 to adult who have attended one
full year of high school. There are no extra curricular programs or
activities, allowing students to concentrate on completing requirements for
graduation in a more adult environment. Students from other high
schools may take one class each semester at FCEHS and have credit
transferred to their home schools. |
