What's In The News at FCBOE?
Dr. John DeCotis' retirement was approved by the Board of Education on March 2, 2010. At that meeting the Board selected the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) to assist the district in the search for his replacement. As an initial step in that process, GSBA has developed a community survey regarding the superintendent search. Please click here to participate in this important first step.
A Public Hearing has been planned for March 15 to gather input on the qualities and qualifications for the next superintendent for Fayette County Public Schools. The hearing will take place at the F.A. Sams Auditorium, at 205 LaFayette Avenue in Fayetteville, at 7pm. The GSBA will moderate the hearing. Nomination forms will be available at the Hearing or you may nominate someone online by following this link.
Kindergarten registration for the 2010-11 school year will begin January 19, 2010 and continue through March 19, 2010. Please visit our Welcome Center page for more information. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
Think Big With a Gig. In collaboration with Fayette County, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, and Tyrone, Fayette County Schools are working together to respond to Google's Request for Information for high speed Internet access to our communities.
