Friends
Mentor Program |
|
Friends Mentoring Program is an opportunity for adult volunteers to make a
positive impact on the life of a child. Mentor matches meet weekly
one-on-one in a school based setting. The program focuses on assisting
children in developing relationship skills, building positive life skills,
and improving academic proficiencies.
Volunteers must: Successfully
complete application/background check
Attend orientation training
Commit to volunteer for one year

Teen
Mentor Program |
|
Teen Mentor Program is not only a great way for teens to share their
experiences and to be a positive influence to a grade school age child, but
also provides a unique opportunity for them to volunteer and give back to the community.
Volunteers must:
Be a
junior or senior high school student in good standing
Submit application to program coordinator
Attend training session

Literacy
Friends Program for Children |
|
Literacy Friends is a program designed to match caring adults with
elementary age children in need of extra reading support and encourages
children to become confident and independent readers. Matches meet at
school site weekly.
Volunteers must:
Successfully complete application/background check
Attend orientation training
Commit to volunteer for one year
