Students Get Red Carpet Treatment at Bennett’s Mill Middle
August 13, 2007
An enthusiastic 565 students walked through the
doors of Bennett’s Mill Middle on Monday
officially kicking off the new school’s first
academic year.
“I’m so proud and happy you’re here today. We
have a bunch of special people waiting for you.
They have been waiting a long time,” Principal
Rae Presley-King told the students as they
gathered in the gym before going to their
classrooms.
Those special people happened to be the school’s
staff that was waiting right outside the doors
ready to greet and cheer the students as they
walked down the red carpet and into the school.
Donning press passes and cameras, staff stood on
the sidelines snapping photos as the stars of
the school made their way to their classrooms.
The school opened with students in grades 6-8.
