Schools Make Georgia’s Top 25 SAT List

Governor Sonny Perdue and
State School Superintendent Kathy Cox have recognized two Fayette high
schools for being among the state’s top 25 scorers on the SAT.
McIntosh and Starr’s Mill
High schools rank 15 and 20, respectively, on the state’s top 25 list for
overall scores. A perfect score on the SAT is 2400. McIntosh had an overall
score of 1625; Starr’s Mill scored 1605.
The two schools also placed
on the top 25 lists for reading, math and writing. McIntosh finished at 14
in reading with a score of 537 out of a possible 800; Starr’s Mill placed 17
with a score of 531. In math, McIntosh finished 10 on the list with a score
of 556 out of 800; Starr’s Mill was 13 with a score of 553. McIntosh came in
at 13 in writing, scoring 532 out of 800 while Starr’s Mill ranked 18 with a
score of 521.
