Orchestra and Band to Perform at Music
Conference

The J.C. Booth Middle Eighth Grade Orchestra
will make history later this month in Savannah.
The school’s orchestra is the first in the
county to receive an invitation to perform at
the annual Georgia Music Educator’s Conference
taking place in Savannah January 25-27.
The orchestra, a non-auditioned group consisting
of 33 members, will perform on January 27 at the
Westin Hotel beginning at 9:45 a.m.
Also performing at the conference is the Flat
Rock Middle School Symphonic Band. The band will
perform on January 26 at the Savannah
International Trade and Conference Center at
7:45 p.m.
