Breakfast To Honor Partners in Education
January 29, 2007
A homemade breakfast is how McIntosh High is
reaching out to current and future Partners in
Education to show its appreciation of the
business community’s support of the school.
The McIntosh PTSO will serve up breakfast on
February 8 beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the
school’s cafeteria to honor businesses that have
worked with the school this year and to meet
those who might be interested in forging a new
partnership. Participants will learn about
McIntosh’s revitalized Partners in Education
program, the opportunities available to get
involved and how the school plans to recognize
businesses’ participation through publicity.
In addition to a delicious breakfast, there will
also be entertainment and door prizes. Anyone
interested in attending the program should
contact PTSO President Cele Eifert, 404-667-8906
or email
ron-cele@att.net.
The Partners in Education program is a joint
effort of the Fayette County School System and
the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. Business
partnerships between schools can take many
different forms ranging from monetary
contributions and in-kind donations to
sponsorships and mentoring students. All
activities of a business and school partnership
should meet educationally sound goals that are
jointly developed by both partners.
