Presidential Scholar Candidates
January 30, 2007

Three Peachtree City students have been selected as candidates by the U.S. Department of Education for the 2007 Presidential Scholars Program.

Andrew Zheng of Starr’s Mill High and Craig M. Western and Jessica M. Everage, both of McIntosh High, are among the 43 graduating high school seniors from Georgia named as candidates and who are now eligible to apply for consideration in the 2007 scholars program.

Students are invited to apply based on their scores on the SAT or ACT exam. Students chosen as Presidential Scholars receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, DC in June and the Presidential Scholars medallion at a ceremony sponsored by the White House in commemoration of their achievements.

Semifinalists will be notified in early April followed by the notification of scholars in May.
