Three Fayette students were among the top 100 selected to compete in the Georgia Geography Bee.

Robert Worley, 8th grade, J.C. Booth Middle; Sanjay Sridaran, 8th grade, Rising Starr Middle and Sam Burgess, 4th grade, Braelinn Elementary qualified to compete in the statewide event after taking a written test administered by the National Geography Bee.

Both Sam and Sanjay enjoyed top 10 finishes taking fifth and sixth place, respectively.

Prior to taking the written test for the state competition, the students won their school’s Geography Bee.
