United States National Award Winner
June 13, 2007
A Sandy Creek High student has
achieved an honor few students ever obtain.
Judson Robinson, son of
Catherine Robinson of Fayetteville, has been named a United States Achievement
Academy National
Award winner in band, football, foreign language, mathematics, minority
leadership and honor roll.
Fewer than 10 percent of all
American high school students are recognized by the academy. Winners are
selected exclusively on the recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors and
other qualified sponsors. The criteria for selection are a student’s academic
performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility,
enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, citizenship, attitude and
cooperative spirit and dependability.
School counselor Kelly Floyd
nominated Robinson for the award. His name will appear in the United States
Achievement Academy’s official yearbook, which is published nationally.
