Teachers Receive Bright Ideas Grant

The Bright Ideas grant program sponsored by the Fayette Coweta EMC has awarded over $9,700 in grants to 10 teachers from the Fayette County Public School System.

The teachers will use the grants to implement special projects to help enhance learning in their classrooms.

Fayette’s winners of the 2007 Bright Ideas grants are Debbie Rivers, Brooks Elementary; Heidi Johnson, Fayetteville Intermediate; Mary Ann Browning, J.C. Booth Middle; Victoria Perez, J.C. Booth Middle; Patricia Slagle and Kathleen Myers (combined grant), North Fayette Elementary; Brenda Williams, North Fayette Elementary; Kim Morgan, Oak Grove Elementary; JoAnn Rouse and Eric Todd (combined grant), Rising Starr Middle.

The Bright Ideas program is sponsored by the Coweta-Fayette EMC Operation Round Up Trust, which is from funded by EMC members who allow their bills to be rounded up to the nearest dollar each month.
