The Notre Dame Club of Atlanta has selected Rising Starr Middle teacher Suzanne Carey as the recipient of their Excellence in Teaching Scholarship.

The scholarship is an all expenses paid trip for Carey to attend the University of Notre Dame Excellence in Teaching Conference in South Bend, Indiana October 26-28. The conference, open to all K-12 teachers in both public and private schools, offers participants cutting edge ideas with practical application.

“The Notre Dame Club of Atlanta is pleased to provide superior educators from the Atlanta area this opportunity to continue to develop both professionally and personally and to deepen their appreciation for their vocation and the contributions they make to their schools,” says Rose Carroll, secretary for the club.

Carey was selected from a competitive group of nominated educators from throughout the Atlanta area.
