Home of the Greatest Students and Teachers in Georgia!

Our wonderful school is located in a cozy little neighborhood on Booker Avenue in Fayetteville, Georgia.  We strive to enhance every child's educational experience, welcome parent volunteers and appreciate our community partners in education.

2007 - 2008 School Year

  • Students may begin arriving at 7:20 am.

  • Please do not drop off your student prior to 7:20 am.

  • The school day begins with the bell at 7:45 am.

  • Students not in their classroom on the bell at 7:45 am will be tardy.

  • Students are dismissed between 2:20 and 2:30 pm.

    Come see us!  - Follow Highway 54 East past the courthouse.  Go straight through the Jeff Davis stoplight, and make your next right onto Booker Avenue.  The school will be on your right.

 WOW!!!

Congratulations to Derreck D., and Menaka R., Ms. Martin, Presley F., and Mitchell T. for being invited to Capital Tech.  This is a great honor because only 13 schools state wide have been invited to present their websites and achievements in technology to the Legislators and State Officials.  You make EFES proud!

"Practice makes Perfect..."

Parents - As we approach CRCT Testing Time, be sure to encourage your child to practice and to perform his/her personal best.  You can practice at home by going to the Georgia CRCT Practice Test website.  Your child's teacher has been creating specific tests on this website for your children.  You can find a link on the Student Resources Page!  Thanks again for your support!  We are very proud of the last CRCT results showing 94% of our students are meeting or exceeding the state standards!  Great Job EFES!

 

CRCT Testing Dates - April 16th, 17th, 18th, 21st, and 22nd - Please be sure you send your child on time to school on these dates having had a good breakfast - or with breakfast money - $1.25 for students.


                                           

March is Youth Art Month & Music in Our Schools Month!

East Fayette’s 2nd Annual School-Wide Art Show will be held in the cafeteria March 27th, from 5-7pm.  All students in the school will have their original framed artwork displayed in the show.  Families can purchase the framed artwork at the show, too. We'll also feature some special performances for your enjoyment, plus face painting and refreshments.  Hope to see you there! -What a huge success!!!

Continue the celebration with the Chorus' Spring Variety Show, "Heart of Rock and Roll."  Join us as we celebrate pop music history through song and dance, on Thursday, April 3, at 7:30pm in the cafeteria.  Enjoy the fun and support Art and Music Education in our school. 

Thank you to Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Aven, our wonderful art and music teachers who put their heart and soul into teaching the fine arts!!!


 

 

SCHOOL'S OUT!!! PLAN AHEAD!!!

Spring Break

  • Monday through Friday, April. 7th - April 11th.


You will not want to miss our Annual hero Day parade!  It will be on May 2nd this year - and will be even bigger and better than last year's phenomenal day!  Let's honor our real heroes!

 


Breakfast with Mom will be on May 9th this year!  Enjoy this special time with your child and have a Happy Mother's Day!  Students can have breakfast for $1.25 and Adults can have breakfast for $1.90.  Look in your child's bookbag for more information and a reservation form.  Thank you!


PTO is having our annual Spring Fling on May 10th this year!  You will not want to miss this fabulous event!  There will be a silent auction, games, jumping toys, face painting, great food, and - of course, the dunking booth!!  Mark your calendars now and plan for a fun Saturday!

                                              


Chick-fil-A Night is May 13th, and Stevi B's is on May 22nd!  Enjoy a night or two out while supporting EFES at the same time.


Parents - If you are interested in purchasing the Home Version of Math Facts in a Flash, please send in $10.00 with your child.  The students are having a ball with the school version.  As you know, a solid foundation of math facts is a wonderful asset in life.  Thanks again for your support!


Last Day of School
5th grade Recognition

May 23rd will be the last day of school and a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate our amazing 5th grade class at 8:30 A.M.  Congratulations to EFES's last graduating class!

Parents, thank you for an amazing year of support.  We are excited about next year's big move to Inman Elementary School and look forward to working with you all in a brand new facility!
