This is a great honor because only 13 schools state wide have been invited to present their websites and achievements in technology to the Legislators and State Officials. You make EFES proud! Congratulations to Jada G. (from Ms. Mosel's 2nd grade class) and Joshua T. (from Ms. Akins' 3rd grade class)! Their artworks were selected for the 2008 Capitol Art Exhibit. They will attend a reception honoring them and in celebration of Youth Art Month on February 13th at the Twin Towers Building in Atlanta. With their families and Mrs. Brown, they will tour the exhibit and meet our legislators who make important laws for education. We are so proud!!! Congratulations to Asya M. for winning the EFES Spelling Bee and representing East Fayette very well at the county level contest! Congratulations to Judson E. for placing third in the Geography Bee, to Jason M. for placing 2nd, and to Peter S. for winning the EFES Geography Bee. Great job! East Fayette is the only elementary school in the county to coordinate Super Science night, and we hosted our 3rd annual Super Science Night with approximately 250 people in attendance. Congratulations to Ms. Jessi Mosel - our EFES teacher of the year for 2007 - 2008! Our pre-k special education teacher, Claire Cohen, won the Wal-mart/ Sam's Club teacher of the year award for 2007. She has used some of her winnings to purchase reading software that will help many groups of students at East Fayette Elementary!
