Committee Chairpersons
Academic/Tutorial Open
Purpose: To maintain and facilitate the reading, writing, and math tutorial programs.
Event Planning Open
Purpose: To plan and spearhead all PTO-sponsored events.
Fundraising Open
Purpose: To identify and successfully implement fundraisers in order to provide the PTO with monies for the 2007-2008 school year.
Volunteer Open
Purpose: To promote and encourage volunteerism at North Fayette Elementary School. As a coordinating body of the school, this committee is responsible for matching the needs of the NFE students, teachers, and administrators with the parent and community volunteers. The chairperson is responsible for maintaining an active log of volunteers.
Membership Open
Purpose: To promote and solicit both parents and teachers to join the PTO. Our goal for 2007-2008 is to have 100% participation (membership) from teachers and parents.
Room Parent Open
Purpose: To ensure that each class/teacher has a room parent(s). This committee, which includes all room parents, is responsible for assisting the teachers in their assigned classrooms. The chairperson of this committee will ensure that the room parents are notified in advance of all class parties.

PTO Goals
Our goals for the 2007-2008 school year are to:
- Create a cohesive working relationship among teachers and parents.
- Help promote high academic achievements among all students
- Help financially to accomplish needed resources at NFE.
Membership Dues
$5 annually per adult
Up-coming Fundraiser:
The PTO's major fundraiser for this school year is with Kathryn Beich, and will kick-off on September 7, 2007. Kathryn Beich is an exclusive distributor of the "Katydids Candy" and many other gift items for the entire family. Most items sell for less than $10 each. Please mark your calendars because we need your support.
