Spring Hill Media Center

.
Spring Hill’s media center is open throughout the school day and operates on a flexible, open schedule allowing all students, staff, parents and classes to use available resources at the point of need during the school year. Individual students, small groups and entire classes share media space and materials for research, pleasure reading and class assignments.

The media center is staffed by a certified media specialist and one full time paraprofessional. Regular parent volunteers help with daily circulation tasks and the shelving of books.

An online card catalog is available for students and staff and multimedia computer stations are used throughout the school day for research, internet assignments, and Accelerated Reader quizzes.

Library cards are issued to each student and are kept in the classroom. Kindergarten - 2nd grade students can check out two library books. 3rd - 5th grade students can check out three library books. Students with overdue or lost books must return or pay for them before being allowed to check out another book.

Parents are encouraged to sign up for library cards and check out from our Parent Resource section as well as from our regular collection.
