Printer Questions

My printer is not working. What should I do?
Before asking for help, try this:
Save your work. Quit all open programs. Shut down the computer. Turn off the printer. Unplug the electrical cord from the printer. Count to 5 and plug it back in. Restart the computer and try again. The step about unplugging the cord seems odd, but it usually works when just rebooting doesn't.

My printer is out of ink. Who do I ask for more?
Jan White. You have a per year allotment. One laser printer cartridge should last a year or more. You will have 2 black and 2 color inkjet cartridges for the year, which allows for conservative use. Do not use inkjet printers for printing report cards. Do not use either printer for printing class sets of handouts. If you do, your allotment probably won't last.
