Math teams representing each grade level at Sandy Creek High and Flat Rock Middle participated in the fifth annual Morehouse Math Boot Camp Competition with both schools securing top placements in each contest. 
Sandy Creek High swept the 10th grade division with Anna Hyde taking first place; John Suess, second place; and Emma Bryan, third place.
Likewise, Flat Rock Middle swept the eighth grade division with Sarah Suess placing first; Daniel Jefferson, second; and Alli Foran, third.
Sandy Creek High school senior Phaidra Buchanan won the best overall award, for a second consecutive year, with a top score of 85 out of a possible 100 points. She was also recognized as being the only student to have competed every year since the boot camp started five years ago.
Additional competition results for Sandy Creek include (9th grade) Delaney Schulten, first place, and Bethlehem Woldegabriel, second place; (11th grade) Anna Bridgeman, first place, and Abraham Respert, third place; and (12th grade) Krista Jackson, first place, and Rachel Davis, second place.
Additional competition results for Flat Rock include (6th grade) Aaron Bryant, first place, and Wyatt Vincent, third place; and (7th grade) Abby Paver, first place, and Juan Smith, third place.
