School System Honored for Pioneering Use of Technology


The Fayette County Public School System has earned a top national ranking in the annual Digital School Districts Survey for investing in tools for next-generation digital learners, launching STEM academies, and encouraging innovative use of technology throughout its schools. The school system is ninth in the nation on the survey’s top 10 ranking systems in the Large Student Population District (12,000 students or more) category. This is the seventh time that the school system has made the top 10 rankings.

The Digital School Districts Survey awards recognize exemplary use of technology by school boards and systems. The awards are presented by the Center for Digital Education at the National School Boards Association’s annual conference each spring.
The top 10 rankings are awarded to school boards and systems that most fully implement technology benchmarks in the evolution of digital education, as represented in the survey questions. All U.S. public school systems are invited to participate.
