HOSA Students Headed to International Competition


A total of 15 HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) members from Starr’s Mill High and Whitewater High will compete in the HOSA International Leadership Conference after taking top honors in the state competition.HOSA Students Headed to International Competition

Top winners at the HOSA State Leadership Conference advancing to the national competition are (Starr’s Mill High) Kenzie Artman and Cade Donaldson, first place, health career display; (Whitewater High) Makaylee Cantington, first place, medical photography; Olivia Hayes, third place, medical photography; Brennan Oates, third place, medical innovation; Zac Rustick, third place, medical innovation; Jack Byrum, third place, medical innovation; Ashlyn Cole, first place, medial innovation original; Lauren Boag, first place, medical innovation original; Caroline Connor, first place, medical innovation original; Dylan Jenkins, first place, medical innovation original; Katie Stone, third place, health career display; and Kaitlyn Perry, third place, health career display.
 
The coaches are Julie McKenna, Starr’s Mill High, and Julie Wolf, Whitewater High.
 
The HOSA International Leadership Conference will take place in June in Orlando, Florida.

HOSA is a national career and technical student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE. HOSA is composed of secondary and postsecondary/collegiate students. It is the largest student organization that prepares students to enter the healthcare field.
