The Fayette County School District is committed to building strong partnerships with business, industry, post-secondary education, and the community to provide career development opportunities for our students and a ready workforce for our business community. These partnerships allow students to go beyond the classroom to explore a variety of career fields while developing employability and industry specific skills. Through workforce development opportunities, students can apply what they are learning in the classroom as they prepare to transition into post-secondary education and the workforce.
Today’s rapidly changing society and workplace requires that educational programs within our schools work closely with local industry and post-secondary institutions to provide high quality, state-of-the-art Career and Technical training. Advisory Council members have industry experience, interest in workforce development, and a strong desire to continuing building school to community relationships. Council members play an integral part in helping the schools maintain, enhance, and expand the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs offered through the Fayette County School System.
Fayette County's CTE Department has partnered with the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce for these advisory meeting through their Talent Development and Retention Task Force. Please reach out to Megan Dean from the Chamber of Commerce at (770)461-9983 for an invitation to our next task force meeting.
