    Dear Braelinn Families:

You and your children are truly incredible and remind me, every day, of the reasons I became an educator.  I am writing this letter to let you know that my family will be relocating to Florida this summer, so I will be resigning from my position as principal effective June 28.  While our move is unexpected, we are returning to my husband’s home state, and the area we left nineteen years ago.

It has been my privilege, over the last two decades, to serve as a teacher at Starr’s Mill High School, Peeples Elementary, and Kedron Elementary, assistant principal at J.C. Booth Middle School, and as your principal at Braelinn Elementary.  My commitment to the Fayette County School System remains.

By submitting my resignation early, I am confident that the transition for your new principal will be smooth.  You have my full commitment through June 28.  You will continue to see my car in the parking lot during the weekends and late most evenings because your children, my teachers, and this community are my top priority.

Thank you for your continued support.  I look forward to a wonderful second semester together.

    Sincerely,

    Jennifer Couch, Principal
