Senate Bill 63 Assessment Information

2026-2027

Senate Bill 63 provides the opportunity for home study students in grades 6 through 12 who reside in Fayette County to participate in PSAT/NMSQT, ASVAB, and AP assessments at the school the students are zoned to attend. Fayette County Public Schools offer the following assessments during the school day:

• PSAT/NMSQT - The Georgia Department of Education pays for all students in 10th grade to participate in the PSAT. Students in 11th grade may elect to participate in the PSAT/NMSQT for the National Merit Scholarship for a fee of $20. Students must contact the school directly to register by September 8, 2026.
• Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) - Students in 11th grade may elect to participate in the ASVAB at no cost. Students must contact the school directly to register by September 8, 2026.
• Advanced Placement (AP) - High School students may elect to participate in AP exams for a fee of $99 per exam. Students must contact the school directly and register by the deadline of October 2, 2026 in order to meet the November 13, 2026 deadline.
