Weather Procedures

The following guidelines for heat related illness, extreme cold temperatures and lightning safety are suggested, though each student and situation is unique and may not require every step listed or may call for different or additional measures.

Fayette County Public Schools, through its Athletic Coordinator or designee, will hold a meeting with the coaches whose sports begin prior to the school year to distribute and/or review the material concerning all weather-related illnesses and to review the system guidelines with respect to outdoor practices.
