Fayette County Physical Education Vision Statement

The vision of the Physical Education program of the Fayette County School district is one that reflects first, the value of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle for one’s entire lifespan.  Students will understand participation needs, gain knowledge and skills for participation, realize safety requirements, cognitive essentials and an attitude towards participation. Students will learn to  appreciate the relationships built while participating in physical activities, and understand the role that regular physical education plays in lifelong health.

Fayette County Physical Education Mission Statement

The Fayette County Mission statement is to deliver effective instruction and set high expectations, resulting in continued improvement in student achievement. The Physical Education mission is to fulfill this and go a step further by offering many opportunities for students to gain basic skills, knowledge and enjoyment of exercises, sports/activities, and fitness that will be needed to motivate, achieve and maintain good health through one’s lifespan.
