Exceptional Children's Services

Fayette County Public Schools Exceptional Children’s Services (ECS) Department is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment where students with disabilities can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Each school has an ECS Lead Teacher who provides guidance to ensure that special education services and supports are provided appropriately. Parents can contact the ECS Lead Teacher at their child’s school with any questions or concerns about special education services.

Additionally, each school has an ECS Support Team led by an 
ECS Consultant as a direct contact for assistance. The ECS Support Team assists with special education services, behavioral support, instructional support, access to assistive technology, and compliance with special education rules and requirements. ECS Support staff can vary depending on student needs.
