McIntosh student pitch ideas for Exploreum

McIntosh High STEM students are chipping in to help grow the Georgia Exploreum.

Freshman STEM students had been hard at work developing ideas for exhibits at the Georgia Exploreum, both permanent and portable. On Pitch Day, they presented their proposals and got feedback from co-founders, longtime Fayette County teachers Adele Moore and Kathryn Floyd.

The educators’ passion project, Georgia Exploreum, is a proposed hands-on STEAM learning center designed to serve students, families, and educators across South Metro Atlanta. While they work towards a permanent home, they have been taking mobile exhibits to schools and community events.

McIntosh STEM teacher Seth Bishop loved seeing his students pitch their plans.

“We truly enjoyed partnering with the Georgia Exploreum exhibit project. It was a great opportunity for our students to apply their ideas in a real-world setting and contribute to something meaningful for the community."
