Whitewater’s Hoang’s pin picked for state science fair

The image shows a smiling young woman with long dark hair standing in front of a red background that displays the text "HOANG'S PIN PICKED FOR SCIENCE FAIR". The background also includes a graphic design featuring the state of Georgia and the year 2026.

Whitewater High senior Kayla Hoang’s art was selected as the official pin design for the 2026 Georgia Science & Engineering Fair (GSEF).

The contest was open to all Georgia middle and high school students. Designs needed to emphasize science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).

The winning design will be worn by all GSEF participants and featured on the official t-shirt at the state competition this March in Athens. Hoang will be also honored at the GSEF awards ceremony.
