• Mandated Reporter Training

The Fayette County Board of Education has implemented a training procedure for ALL school volunteers and chaperones.

Prior to volunteering or chaperoning you will need to view a short video about Mandatory Child Adbuse Reporting and print/fill out  this form and return back to the school with a verification that you have completed the video.

Below you will find a link to a private YouTube video (about 7-8 minutes) for providing child abuse mandated reporting as it relates to school volunteers/chaperones.

Once you have viewed the video in its entirety, complete this online form. This information will be entered into a database that is shared by the school system so that you may volunteer at more than one school and it can be verified that you have completed the training.

If you should have questions after viewing the video, please contact the guidance office and they will be happy to help.

We appreciate the time and dedication of our volunteers.  It is our priority to protect our students; if you plan to volunteer or chaperon any time during this school year, please go ahead and view the training video.

Chaperones for overnight field trips must also be fingerprinted.

If you plan to chaperone on an overnight field trip, please contact Linda Henderson in HR at (770) 460-3535 ext. 126 to schedule an appointment at least 3 weeks prior to field trip.

The cost is $42.50 and will need to be exact change. Cash is the only form of payment accepted.

This process only needs to be completed every 5 years. After 1 year, the only requirement will be a background check which is also handled at the county office.
