Pink Out helps Patriots join fight against breast cancer
Sandy Creek High’s 4th annual Pink Out brought together top-notch volleyball action with a fundraiser for the fight against breast cancer.
The slate was full of volleyball competition as the Patriots played against Morgan County and Westlake in a night of JV and varsity matches. Sandy Creek players also donned special Pink Out shirts for warmups.
The night had extra meaning this year as the team honored the memory of Tracie Reese. Reese, mother of a junior on the team, was known as a huge cheerleader for the team and an enthusiastic volunteer. She lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in March of this year.
To raise money, fans were treated to a bake sale, concessions, door prizes, raffles, a vendor market, and silent auctions.
