McIntosh High senior Kiefer State will be making music in select company. State, a bassoon player, was picked for the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Each year, more than three hundred rising 8th to 12th-grade instrumentalists audition for seats in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO). The ensemble of 114 students will rehearse and present performances under the direction of Associate Conductor and ASYO Music Director William R. Langley.
The ASYO presents a three-concert series each year, and members have exclusive invitations to participate in readings and master classes with the top artists in the instrumental music industry.
