The Winners of a Bright Future

Free Scholarships There are three students from J.C. Booth that were awarded the REACH scholarship. The REACH Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity designed to encourage middle school students to go to college after high school. The three students from Booth who received the scholarship were Alyssa D., Alexandria M., and Skylar M. They earned their scholarship by having grades higher than “C” in core subjects, having good attendance and exemplary behavior. They must also prove they are in financial need. These students received a ten thousand dollar scholarship if they attend any of the Georgia colleges that participate in the Reach Scholarships.

Dr. Joseph Barrow, the Fayette County Public Schools superintendent, announced to each student, “You have been selected because of your hard work and good behavior. We believe in you and know that you will graduate high school, go on to college or technical school and do great things. You have a whole team behind you to support you and make sure that you are successful. We are very proud of you and what you have achieved.”
