In the year 2019 it was important when it came to the theme of space because it celebrated 50 years since the first space shuttle touched the moon. Let's take a time machine back to July 20, 1969, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed and walked on the moon. Almost everyone in America was watching the moon landing on their TV’s, seeing a man taking their first step on the moon, and the famous line, “One step for man, one giant leap for mankind” from Neil Armstrong. Now 2019 in a hundred different ways, people nationwide celebrated the moon voyage.
So many companies celebrated the moon landing by making moon theme items like how Oreo made a marshmallow limited time 50 year moon landing cookies, a lego set of the Apollo 11, Nike sneakers (PG3 NASA 50th Sneaker, now worth over $150!) and many more. Today we mark July 20, 1969, as a historic day, as of July 20 we celebrate 50 years of the moon landing and the race to the moon. FunFacts: Moon landing was watched by an estimated 600 million people around the world, the astronauts landed with only 25 seconds of fuel to spare, & Armstrong carried with him a piece of wood from an airplane that belonged to the Wright brothers. (FunFacts from worldatlas).
