Dorris builds for old school

Joshua Dorris is well on his way to Eagle Scout thanks to a generous service project. Dorris, a rising senior at McIntosh High, returned to Peachtree City Elementary to build two bookshelves for the school’s new Panther Den.

Dorris is a PTC Elementary alum and a member of Boy Scout Troop 75. With the help of fellow scouts, community members, and a generous donation from Home Depot, he was able to build and deliver the two large shelving units to the school over the summer.

The school shared a message of thanks for Dorris.

“We are proud of your leadership, grateful for your generosity, and inspired by your service. Thank you for this very special gift which we will cherish for many, many years.”
