Three schools honored among top Title I schools
Three Fayette County schools rank among the top Title I schools in the state, earning honors from the Georgia Department of Education.
To reward schools for significant progress in improving student achievement or in closing the achievement gap, GaDOE honors K–12 Title I schools through an awards program. The Title I Achievement Awards program recognizes and honors two categories of schools: Title I Distinguished Schools and Title I Reward Schools.
Cleveland Elementary and Fayetteville Elementary are Title I Distinguished Schools.
Title I Distinguished schools are among the highest-performing 5% of Title I schools based on the combined ELA and math content mastery scores from the statewide assessments of the most recent year.
Fayetteville Elementary and Flat Rock Middle are Title I Reward Schools.
Title I Reward schools are among the greatest-improving 5% of Title I schools when comparing the content mastery scores from the most recent two years of statewide assessments.
