Braelinn brews up fun on Coffee Day

The Stars love brewing up creative lessons, and Braelinn Elementary 2nd graders teamed up for Coffee Day.

To celebrate International Coffee Day on October 1, the 2nd grade enjoyed a host of activities centered around java. Classrooms were transformed into coffee shops, and students and teachers dressed as baristas. They compared numbers on cups, learned about the history of coffee, and designed mugs for teachers. They even celebrated at the end of the day with their own coffee drinks (chocolate milk) and pastries!

Starbucks locations around the area helped out by donating pastry bags and coffee cups and lids.

“My team wanted to do a fun classroom transformation day that would make learning exciting for our students,” said teacher Emily Roberts. “It was a super fun day that we will definitely be doing again!”
