Two local names were called during the 2024 MLB Draft, with one already inked to begin his pro career.
Bo Walker of Starr’s Mill was drafted in the 11th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Walker, an outfielder, was committed to play at Georgia Tech, but instead signed to start his pro career.
Chase Fralick of McIntosh was drafted in the 20th round by the San Diego Padres. Fralick, picked as a catcher, is signed to play collegiately at Auburn University.
