F’ville Elementary celebrates Pre-K Week

Georgia Pre-K Week celebrated 32 years of state lottery-funded pre-k, and Fayetteville Elementary joined in the fun.

Pre-K teacher Donna McEachern and paraprofessional Shamira Hardy led the young Tiger Cubs through a week full of activities and dress up days. They kicked off the festivities by wearing ties, tutus, tie dye, and tiaras. They created special Pre-K Week hats to wear on pajama day, and they capped off the week with a dance party.

Throughout the celebration they were joined by guest readers like Principal Andrea Freeman and School Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Patterson. Former pre-k students who are now in 2nd grade visited and read to the class. A former student of Ms. Mac’s who now teaches at Fayette County High also popped in to read to the Tiger Cubs and share stories about when she was in the class.
