Every year on the Friday before Thanksgiving break, Biology and AP Environmental Science teacher, Jill Lloyd, rewards her students' hard work by having a feast with her AP class. Each student volunteers to bring in a dish or a drink, whether it be pumpkin pie, their grandma’s famous mashed potatoes, or apple cider. The class will feast together during their class period, enjoying each other’s company and watching a movie. “I’m so excited for the feast this year!” said Alli Foran, a sophomore and AP Environmental Science student. “This is one of my favorite classes, and I can’t wait to spend time with my friends and try all the different foods they bring in.” Some dishes being tasted include apple pie, perogies, macaroni and cheese, and turkey with gravy, cooked by Mrs. Lloyd herself. What a great way to start the holiday season!
From everyone here at Sandy Creek, we wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving break!
